Week 2

Preproduction, including Casting, location scouting, hiring a crew, budgeting, movie funding

Week 1

Introductions, Development, and Screenwriting, Explain Character Development, Arcs, practical examples from previously filmed movies.

Week 4

The Art of Lighting (Grip & Electric): Key, Fill, and Backlight, manipulate shadows to create depth, Build 600c, Inflatable tubes, Astera Tubes, breaking it apart, putting them away on its box.

Week 3

Cinematography & Camera Mastery: Hands-on "expensive" cameras; talk about different kind of lenses, focal lengths, and frame rates to tell the story visually.

Week 6

Directing (The Vision): What a Director does, what an AD does, talk about performance and explain how everything really works.

Week 5

Production Design: This covers the "look" of the world. Tyler can go to town and explain what art directors handle sets, props, and costumes to ensure the environment feels authentic.

Week 8

Shoot day: We will shoot a mini Documentary interview with all the students.

Week 7

Production (The Shoot): This is the execution phase. It’s all about managing the "clock" and the "kit." Efficiency here determines if you finish your shot list or end up with an unfinished film.

Week 10

Sound Design & Scoring: This is the "invisible" half of the experience, and Color Grading

Week 9

Post-Production (Editing): Often called the "final rewrite." We will talk about Premiere, and Frame.io and how to create a workflow for revisions. We will work with MotionArray.

Easy film festival submissions. And how easy is to get some awards knowing the right easy steps.

Week 11

Distribution & Marketing: A film isn't finished until people see it. This involves film festivals, digital streaming platforms, and creating posters and trailers to find your audience.
